Worldwide every 14 seconds a child or adult is infected with HIV. Orange Babies believes it is unacceptable that babies are born with HIV and fights against the causes and consequences of the HIV epidemic affecting babies and children in vulnerable communities in Africa.
In 2010, Orange Babies engaged MCI to help design and deliver an unforgettable event that would raise money for the foundation, and raise awareness of HIV and maternal and infant health in Africa.
Specifically, MCI was tasked with:
MCI’s creative team helped Orange Babies to define what type of event they should host – an unforgettable annual Gala Evening – and to conceive the creative concept for the evening itself.
From 2010 to 2014, the MCI team worked hand-in-hand with the foundation to continually enhance the Gala, engage guests, stakeholders and the media around the event, and raise significant funds for the foundation’s projects.
From 2010 to 2014, the Orange Babies Gala Evenings were attended by over 250 guests per edition, raising between 300,000 to 400,000 euros per year - enough money to save or improve the lives of 4,000 babies annually in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Guests had an unforgettable experience, while Orange Babies was delighted with MCI’s creative direction and seamless logistic services, and with the significant funds raised from the events.
“Because of the professional and enthusiastic attitude of MCI, they were once again our partner during the Orange Babies Gala. For us as a charity, it is very important to balance commercial acumen and creativity during our event. MCI finds this balance perfectly every time."
